Looking for some advise on parts and fitting costs for Monte Carlo 2012

Renew both back brakes / shoes etc and replace both drums including getting them painted black?

Can't imagine they need changing unless you have racked up stupid miles or have had a fault.

Mine on my Scout weren't even 40% worn at 60k.

Yes DSR has a fault with brake cylinder only covered 30k not covered under warranty as she has just turned 4 years old.

Are the drums worn? Should be able to clean them with brake cleaner.

1 off cylinders are leaking and both are showing signs of wear. Mechanical said he has never seen anything with low mileage in current condition!
