Shock absorbers

Featured Replies

Seen a post on here regarding types of shock absorbers but can't find it.

So my Fabia needs a back shock on the left only (will get both done). What type of kit should I be looking for?

bilstien or Kayaba (KYB)seem good  don't fit Seat Ibiza sport ones they'll  shake you fillings loose  :D

Worth noting new shocks don't come supplied with bumpstops/dust covers.

You will need to buy a separate kit :)

Excuse the ignorance here..what is a bump stop lol

If your car bottoms out the suspension,on like a real bumpy road, the bump stop stops the shock absorber being over compressed.

It limits the travel on the shock absorber.

Ah no worries, everyday is a school day

Don't normally need new covers, just the bump stops.

If it's only a few quid more I'll add them on, not been done in 125k

That yellow thing "was" the bump stop then?

Yep :)
