Bunnyhopping along and underpowered

Featured Replies

My poor Sydney (Fabia 1.2 petrol 2005) is having some problems. Engine light is on which isn't abnormal for the summer it usually comes on. But this time it's underpowered and very. It feels like I'm it juddering along and hills are a problem he loses power almost straight away and trundles up. We almost have to go up them all in second gear!! He tries to stall when we pull away and he is not very smooth at all. Very lurchy. We've changed the coil packs and spark plugs because they are always going. And the engine mounting was loose so we changed that too. Is it fuel related or engine related. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Needs scanning for codes. Could be a lot of things.

Yeah scanned for codes all that came up was for a cam sensor but that changed that and still the same. No other codes were listed.

What was used to scan it?

Does the cam sensor fault return when cleared?

my bet is the timing has jumped, possible tensioner guide failed.

Yes sounds like timing chain jumped. Did the fault say cam position sensor implausible signal ?
