Lost my keys! Help!

Featured Replies

My darling 2 year old has managed to get his hands on both sets of our car keys and we can't find them anywhere! He has a love the garden so there is a good chance he has taken them outdoors and done some digging! They are to an Octavia VRS 2012. No idea what to do? I have had the car from new so I assume I have all relevant docs? Can a main dealership simply reproduce 2 new keys from nothing?

Main dealers can but it takes about three weeks. If you think the keys are in the garden then talk to your local metal detectorist club, they are likely to help.

Auto locksmith will be able to cut new key and program a new fob.........if he/she is worth their salt!

Yes, it's possible. You need your car's VIN number (that can be found in the car easily) and documents to prove that you are the real owner. Like said above, it takes some time and it won't be cheap. If you can, try to avoid that.
