2007 1.2 Fabia exhaust mid section

Featured Replies

Hi guys, the mid box/ section in my 2007 1.2 70bhp Fabia needs replacing and for 'budget' reasons I've thought about putting a straight pipe in, bypassing the mid box, but leaving the cat and back box unchanged.

Has anybody done this? Will this tamper with the ECU or reduce back pressure? Or any other faults it's likely to bring about?

Thanks,

Macklin.

What's your engine code?

According to this page, for BBM/BZG/CEGA codes the mid section is just a bit of pipe, item 2; 6Q0 253 201C

?

Unsure of engine code as currently on holiday, but looked under the car and there's definitely a silencer box in the mid section behind the cat, then a rear box also
