Question For People With Working Cigarette Lighter Bulb

Featured Replies

The cigarette lighter on my Fabia was pretty worn so i decided to replace it. I've used a generic one off of ebay rather than an official Skoda one. I've made up plugs so it should work the same.

On my original one when i removed it, i noticed it had a small bulb but this has never worked.
The replacement one also has a small bulb on it.

I've test fitted the new cigarette lighter and it works great but the bulb won't light up on it despite being wired up properly.

I've tried ignition on, lights on etc but no light.
Can anyone advise when their's is working if the ignition has to be on, or if it has to be in use or what?

Mine was working up until recent, it comes on with the headlights. Not sure if the ignition needs to be on or not.

Mine comes on with sidelights. Without ignition.

Thanks guys. My original cigarette lighter didn't work and it looks like the replacement one doesn't work either.
After testing the bulb in the new one is a dud....
Hence the confusion with getting it to come on with the replacement haha.
