programming controller

Featured Replies

Hi Guys and Gals,

I have a brand new A/C controller and was wondering how to programme it, is it a case of copy and paste off the old one?, or do I have to take it to the stealer?.

I have VDCS, can I do it with that?, if so how?

TIA

Anyone??

Sorry I cannot help with an answer Freedom, but are you a member of the Ross-Tech forum ?, I think you would get an answer there.

A VCDS autoscan is a good place to start.

Is it a like for like replacement or are you trying to update/retrofit something?

Pretty easy, just note the coding from the old one and check the new one with VCDS is the same.

After that run the basic settings for the flaps and it's done.

yes it is like for like, only the other controller is brand new and every time I plug it in I get funny symbols where the temp is, so it looks like its not coded up yet.

So scan the one I got now?, is that the long coding helper?, where do I put the code?, I have changed things with VCDS, but not coded a controller yet, please be gentle with me :).

TIA

Is it long coding then?
