Torque is the same in both at 250nm however the SIII is lighter than the SII so this will make a difference.  Although I obviously don't drive one myself everyday, I have driven a good few 105s over the past few years as loan cars and also managed to have a loan of a new 120bhp recently.  I would say the difference is noticeable (but not dramatic) in that 120 feels quicker off the mark and is definitely a more refined engine however that could be improved sound proofing also.  Should notice a difference at the pump too with the slightly increased fuel economy!  The 120 still sounds rougher compared to the smoother 2.0 engines.
