Motor management warning lights

Featured Replies

- suddenly comes up. EPC and that engine-symbol for exhaust management.

EPC will come up after some distqnce and hot motor, turns off after re-start qnd come back after a while. And then its time for the exhaust-warning.

Doesnt affect much, though the famous Oomph is missing.

Ill have a word or two with the shop monday. Still on guarantee.

Is it Unleaded Fuel (95 ron) you use?

Maybe some Super Unleaded will be a good idea, unless some fault codes are registered and a Software Update is needed.

?

How many km has the car done?

Hopefully not a spark plug expiring early.

Nothing but unleaded are sold over here, and its all 95 ron. Havent seen 98 since god knows when. Maybe at some obscure station, old stinkies (Volvos) may need it :)

24000 kms done. Ill leave the car at the shop monday.

Modern motor management needs computers. No faults are found at the dash display.

Its one of the first ever sold, I ordered the car first day presented in Feb. 2015 and has never been at the shop so a software update is quite possible.

So no Super Unleaded.

My old Volvo gets it because it is happiest on it and my Mk2 Fabia goes in the huff it does not get it and would be giving a light show.

Best have them take out the spark plugs and check.

As they are cheap enough have new ones in, but since in Warranty Skoda can pay, they are consumables but should not need replacing at 24,000 km.

Got the car back today. Seems to be a defective turbo boost regulator (? - I havent the slightest idea of the proper name in English - part # 04E198725C 2158 T040 KH1 for inquering minds).

Free on guarantee.
