Sold - Macbook Pro 15.4", i7 Quad Core

Featured Replies

Due to the fact that I'm one of the rare people that doesn't particularly like Mac OS (not to mention the hash that Microsoft made of Office for Mac!), I am selling my late-2011 Macbook Pro. Specification is as follows:

2.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor,

4GB Ram,

500GB hard drive,

15.4" LED display,

Intel HD Graphics 3000,

AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics processor.

The specific model number for this laptop is MacbookPro 8,2  MD318B/A.

I bought the laptop new at the end of 2011. Cost was around the £1500 mark at the time. I have used it primarily for internet, downloading and writing documents for work in Windows (through Bootcamp). Hence it has been very under-used for the spec.

The laptop is in excellent condition, as can be seen in the pictures below. The case is dent and chip free. If I'm being fussy, the underside has some very very light marks that you have to use the light to see properly (difficult to photograph). The feet have a few light marks on (unavoidable if you actually use the laptop!), but that's it. One of the feet came off the computer a while ago (common issue). I've since fixed it back on properly - I doubt anyone would even have noticed had I not said! Absolutely no marks on the screen or functional parts of the laptop.

I have recently bought a replacement charger for the laptop, as the cable was frayed on the original. This is brand new, as I didn't want to sell the laptop with a worn cable - still has the protective cover on.

I have securely wiped the hard drive and set the computer back to the way it came from the factory. Hence it is ready for a new owner to setup as they wish.

The laptop is boxed and comes complete with a thunderbolt-hdmi cable that I purchased extra (used only a couple of times). It really is in excellent condition - I still have the plastic wrapping that was inside the box, as well as the original Apple screen cloth!

I'm after £520 o.n.o.  This price is posted with appropriate insurance. I know that this model of Macbook usually sell for around £600 - most without a box and with plenty of marks on them. Any questions, please feel free to PM me! :)

GLWS, still a damn fine university or college machine.  Co-worker still does daily web development on this spec of machine, albeit a tad more ram.

Cheers Colin!

Just sold it the other night through eBay. Damn eBay fees though!! :D

I got fed up of switching between operating systems in the end to be honest.
