Silent indicators

Featured Replies

My indicators have lost their audible click along with the seat belt and lights on warning gongs.

Is his just a fuse or something nastier?

Car is a 2013 SE TSI which I bought in May this year from a main dealer.. Apart from the above, I have been delighted with it.

Help please!

if its under warranty back to dealers I would think

The H3 Buzzer and gong is a part of the dash panel insert. Either it is wrongly coded or it has failed. If you have (or can access) a VCDS cable do a scan for errors and post here, else you will need to go to the dealer as suggested above.

Can the volume of the indicator "tick" be varied?

I have VCDS and a good friend who is struggling to hear it due to advancing years. He would be a very happy-chappy if the volume of the sound generator could be increased.

Where do I find the settings in VCDS [i'm a VCDS virgin by the way]. Many thanks...........Tony

Thanks for the response. It is going back to the dealer under warranty however they didn't fill me with confidence, suggesting that I probably couldn't hear it!

If it isn't a case of a loose connection or something like that, they will probably replace the instrument panel altogether.

Don't let them intimidate you,get a sales person to verify the problems whilst sitting in the car with you.
