Hi people iam new to all this but I'll try explain my issues as best as possible. Have a2011 2.0ltr octavia vrs petrol. In the time I have it 3 month's ,ive replaced 4 coils and plugs,put in Bosch each time. But they keep going. .one fails then the other and so on.any suggestions very welcome

I would suggest you meed a good man /woman   with an osciloscope as well as a vag-com

Hi thanks for replying. So basically you reckon it's all electrical ,I presume a street mechanic would not be able to carry this out with standard diagnostic. ..? Doubt he has th this software

If the engine bay was power washed and not properly covered up ie battery disconnected and so fort could this be the root of my problems.

Oscilloscope is not a software but measuring device to see changes in electrical signal...well you learn something new every day right :)

Hi Dara. I was referring to the vag/com ,iam aware what a oscilloscope does, and iam sure my mechanic will not have one. ..it's very fustraiting knowing 2skoda dealers just saw from diagnostics that a particular cylinder had misfired and just replaced the coil and plug. Then 2 weeks later another coil goes,replaced in skoda garage. 1 week later same coil goes that was replaced 3 weeks earlier. Told by independent garage that coils and plugs where wet and corroded..replaced 2 new coils and 4 plugs. And here I am again car gone again hence me being on this forum.

Anyway my mechanic is coming around tomorrow night with comp etc.diagnostics. fitting 2 new Bosch coils that I have spare. Will post back details. Thanks to all who posted.

Hopefully get the car running and problem solve from there.
