Media Command; let passengers listen to different sources?

Featured Replies

While I'm waiting (and waiting, and waiting) for our new L&K to arrive some time in Sept/Oct, I'm trying to find out what to expect in terms of different gadgets and features...

I once was of the impression that by giving my kids access to the Media Command app from their phones or tablets, they would be able to listen to music from the various sources of the onboard music system (radio, CD, harddisk, SD card) by plugging in headsets (or connecting bluetooth headsets) to their tablets/phones, but is this the case or will they just be able to change the source (and volume, and fader, and...) for whatever is playing through the car speakers?

I come from a Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE, and my kids liked to be able to plug in their headsets in the rear and listen to a CD from the car CD player while me and my wife listened to radio, so I was hoping to be able to achieve something similar (or better) in the Superb.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Thanks,
Christopher

No individual choice. It only allows rear passengers to control the audio and/or SatNav as if they were actually using the infotainment directly.

Oh no, that will be the worst thing ever if the kids take control over the HiFi... ;)

Ok, guess I will buy two cheap 7" tablet and fill them with music, videos and games for their entertainment.
