SkodaW, another CPU added?...

Featured Replies

He's gonna be past me within 24 hours I think, if not already. I'm gonna be stuck in 12th. Hopefully my AMD64 will make a dent on my relatively slow folding rate. :D Hope for it to be running tonight.

Fluff! As your new employee, my contract stipulates access to XP Pro license. I'm off to the C.A.B to make sure of my employment rights. ;) :P

I'm finally beginning to see some improvements in my 24hr production rating, but tbh i'm getting some rather pants 40-100 point score Wu's. Thought i'd be getting an higher points score than i'am tbh.

Yeah get that 64 working Dev mate - am only just managing to stave him off at the minute (i've got around 12 days gap at present lol)

think i better have words with my mate in linux/unix server admin ;)

The only way I've found to get decent points is allow every machine to do big WUs. :)

Yeah bin kinda thinking that this last couple of days, may have to re-do the siwtches on some of the machines set as a service.

I was hoping 10 P4 machines would have been doing rather better lol

Tis part 1 of a 4 part plan -- I've managed to add 2 more PC's at work actually but only 1 completed any WU so far.

Part 2 is to build an Opteron PC purely for folding - which should be up & running within a couple of weeks.

Part 3 is to build an AMD 64X2 4800 rig -- which will be my main PC but will also fold - that should be up & running within the next Month

Part 4 is to overhaul my exisitng PC -- possibly another opteron a change of memory to allow clocking.

Then we'll see how we go :)

Just realised your "Part 2" of the plan was realised sooner than the two weeks anticipated:thumbup:

Think its time for me to put an order into scan for my amd64 bits n pieces....

plus another few early mornings setting up a few P4 services machines

Indeed it has, I'm hoping that parts 3 & 4 will be in place by the end of the month, but that depends on a couple of other things coming together.;)
