Phantom beeps on Columbus

Featured Replies

I've got the touch tone enabled on my Columbus unit and for the last 5 months it's been a pleasure to use. The last couple of mornings however when I set off for work it's been emitting a few irregular, random beeps as if someone had touched the screen. It even changed radio stations by itself. This all seems to settle down after about 15 minutes and it behaves itself for the rest of the day. Has anyone else experienced this, or got any ideas what's occurring? I had hoped after the first occasion it was one of those random software glitches that would never rear it's irritating head again, but now that's two days running i fear the worst!

Sounds like a dealer visit is required. It could be an error in the touchscreen itself.

I fear you could be right Felis. She's done it every day since so I've got her booked in to the dealer for them to run some diagnostics.:thumbdown:
