Has anyone had the phone function fitted after they have bought there fabia? Never ordered mine with it but wouldn't mind possibly having it now

Or what does it take to do use the phone function in steering wheel

You need a Bluetooth kit, microphone, loom adapter, and an hour or so to fit it. Then a bit of coding with VCDS to make it all work.

Would I need another control module? And where is the microphone situated from factory

And to make a call does it have speech recognition so you just say the person name

Microphone is situated in the light unit in the centre of the headlining.

 

Another control module? You need a Bluetooth module which is the heart of the thing.

 

Voice control? No idea on a Fabia, but from experience in my Jetta and Yeti it's not worth bothering with. I found by the time you made it understand what you wanted it to do, you could've written a letter and posted it.
