Replacement wing mirror glass

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I haven't had my Octy for 24 hrs and someone has already cracked the drivers side wing mirror glass

So my questions are:

1) Wheres the best place to get a replacement?

2) How hard is it to fit given that it's heated?

Thanks

satpal

I bought a replacement genuine part on ebay. It is a simple clip fit, tilt the mirror towards the car and down as far as it goes using the normal control. I then used a 90 degree alen key to hook in behind the mirror and pull to release.

I believe the glass is £43 from Skoda. I paid £9 on EBay.

I have to say that I don't like ebay, but when a friend had his Mk4 Golf wing mirror kicked off we found one from a reputable parts dealer on ebay.
