Dealer Visit for my Estate...

Had my VRS TDi dsg estate in at Wings Skoda in Peterborough last week and I just wanted to report back on my experiences.

Booked in to address a few issues:

• Slow starting - excessive turn over
• EML light been on twice at startup
• Rattle behind seat belt fixings
• Hesitation between gears
• Nav / ECU updates

Out of the 5 only one issue was addressed. They dissembled the pillars and put foam int the gaps to stop that horrendous rattle that was driving me insane. Happy to confirm that its all quiet now.

The issue with the slow starting / hesitation and EML was swept over. They couldn't find any faults logged with the ECU and it didnt show any issues in the diagnostic tests. I mentioned the boost sensor recall and that was tested fine too. They also said that all the software on the car was up to date.

I was a bit miffed that they didn't fix anything more than a few rattles however it's nice to know that they are covered under warranty and did this without any reluctance at all.

They did the free health check and noted that i needed two tyres and quoted me £130 each for Goodyear AS 2s - I got a pair from black circles for less than 80 each and had them fitted by my local fitter.
