hi peeps can anyone help me with a replacement back box been quoted £400 poundish from skoda mainstealers, even a universal would be good have tried looking for the pasrt numbers on the original which are 1 J0 119 AH made by LEISTRIX but cant find any info any help would be much appreciated.

as far as I can see "1 jo" refers to either a front box or various bracketry    rear boxes seem to be "1J9 253 609 F/R/P or Q"   I assume it''s the transverse box with one or two outlets  I think I'd be inclined to look at the possibility of cutting back the mid pipe with  a view to squeezing in a plain back box if the diff etc will allow   best of luck    keep us posted
