glare from air duct

Featured Replies

hi i have elegance estate does anyone else get a glare in the wing mirrors seems to come from the silver surround of the air vent,

You don't notice it after a while - most/all cars will have reflection issues to some degree.

On my daily commute the sun is at an angle to the car causing everything to glare - the chrome air duct trims and the chrome logo on the steering wheel. It's very annoying, and can be almost blinding

Steering wheel "vrs logo" does it to me sometimes, as does the gearknob. Bit annoying at times, but as FG said above most cars suffer from this.

As per FlyingGecko, you soon get used to it and forget about it.

Yes, it used to really annoy me. Eventually I removed the two vents, masked the non chrome bits and sprayed the chrome parts with matt black paint. You probably could spray them in situ using a lot of careful masking because it was extremely difficult to remove the vents. TBH I can't remember how the vents came off but instructions on one of the online manuals were completely wrong. BTW, the centre vent didn't seem to cause reflections.

Maybe spray with plastidip? Can be easy removed.

Do you have a photo of the black vents?

What's more annoying is the reflection of the screen vent in the windscreen!

Thanks. Thats cool. might go the same route
