Has anyone swapped over there standard full rounded Ocatvia VRS DSG steering wheel with paddles (63 plate below) for the (14) plate onwards flat bottom DSG steering wheel with paddle shifts.

 

Is it just a straight swap over! dont think VCDS is needed? 

Does the flat bottom wheel feel better? I do prefer the look of the flat bottom steering wheel & its something I have been meaning to do.

 

I remember seeing a thread a while back but can't find it for the life of me.

Can't answer the how to part.

But feel wise, it's weird at first. Took me a while to get used to it, but now it's like normal. I guess you'd call it more sporty feeling.

Big fan of the flat bottomed wheel in my MY2016 VRS. Looks good and feels good to use.
