my computer mouse seems to have some kind of problem it wont stay still, ,like it has physical torrets or something, i go to scroll over something and next thing i know its in the far corner....what the????

Is it a ball mouse? If so, take the ball out and clean the cark off the rollers. Should be good as new after that...

no its an optical one, really cant be arsed with the hassle of sending it back but will if this keeps up, its from dell so will have to send it away and wait for another one bla bla

Have you tried it on a different mouse mat / surface, I found that mine would wander off on a couple of the mouse mats I was using.

I find that dell optical mice are quite poor on "glossy" mousemats.

i would spend a tenner and buy a microsoft optical mouse.. they are great..

moved this into the tech shed too..

FWIW I find an upturned vynil place mat, or simply a 12" x 8" piece of vynil floor covering (using the underside) is better than a silly small mouse mat.

That said, if your mouse keeps running away, why not put a piece of cheese in middle?
