2015 was the latest last time I looked - maybe a month back.

The SD card I was given (brand new sealed) was 2015

Just checked and there is a 12gb update

Can't work out do I need ro extract it then dump on SD or leave

The procedure isn't clear after download

Do you consider the £500 cost of Admundsen good value for money as an option?

Hi Threadbear, I bought a demonstrator which had the Amundsen. I don't use it as a satnav cos I prefer Android Auto. But it's good to have the Amundsen as a back-up, eg when travelling in poor network areas. I'm not convinced that traffic information is used effectively to reroute, in my limited experience of using it you just get warnings of traffic hold-ups. There are also some functions in addition to the satnav such as climate control and parking sensor info. I don't think it's worth £500.

Extract the downloaded .zip file, then replace the maps folder on your original SKODA maps SD card with the maps folder from your downloaded file.

Exactly what I thought. Will be looking for an ex demo or pre registered with Amundsen already fitted.

I have a 2013 Fabia Monte Carlo Tech fitted with an Amundsen+ does any one know if there are any updates available for this have checked Skoda portal it says one was due in November last year , Skoda are not much use neither are the main dealer.

Are you talking map updates or software updates

The latest map I have was issued in November. It downloads as STD2_0730_EU1_2017.zip

If the Amunsden costs £500 I would rather have the standard unit and put £500 towards a phone/data and use Android Auto - if the only benefit of the Amunsden is sat nav.. At least that way you are fairly sure of getting up to date maps the whole time and the benefit of a decent for use away from the car.

This thread is for the Amundsen 2. You have an Amundsen+, so you're maps are only updated via SD card.
