2010 skoda superb estate electric boot strut replacement advice

I have been offered a new electric boot strut - i snapped the screwed rod in mine by forcing the boot shut as it was tuck in the top prostion. anyway i have located a part and it is exactly the same except from a 2014 model. will this fit?

 

he said they would all fit although the part number may be different - i was just worried if the loom would fit okay?
