Looking for a double din and camera setup

Featured Replies

It's not skoda related but am hoping some techie types will be able to help.

I am looking for a double din unit for my girlfriends pickup.

I want to be able to hookup a reversing camera and a second camera to look keep an eye on the horse when it's being towed so will be a camera in the trailer.

What I want is for the camera to automatically switch on when I put it in reverse. Then when traveling have the option to either have a split screen, one looking at the trailer hitch and the other looking at the horse or if that's not possible then just to be able to switch the camera on to watch the horse.

Is it possible? If so how do I do it and where do I get the kit from?

I had a pioneer double din stereo in a previous car and hooked it up to a generic camera with no issues.

Compared to wiring an OEM vag one it was child's play.

Never seen one capable of displaying two camera feeds at once though.

I think I have, but it was a generic Chinese make, so not sure how good it was. You could browse the AliExpress website and see if you can spot what you want; then - if you feel brave enough - you could order one.

It might be easier to rig a wifi enabled security camera for the horse and play it back via a phone in a dash mount.
