DAB Antenna

Featured Replies

Hi

I hope this is okay as I am a Freedom Member.

I purchased a Kinetic MagnetwiG DMA-1004 DAB car aerial for my Octavia Estate to prove that it is the antenna in the rear quarter light that is the problem. It is the best mag mount you can get and was much better than a budget one I tried. Basically it solved the problem so I have now fitted a permanent amplified antenna at the front of the car and am very pleased.

If anyone else wants a solution on a car that they dont want to drill holes in I am happy to sell the mag mount for £15 posted 2nd class. They are £21 new. It plugs straight into the back of the MIB unit by removing the black plugtop right. You will need removal keys which are a few pence on eBay.

Thanks

Garnett

What did you use for the permanent solution then?

Hi - I went for a

Universal Roof Mount Active Amplified FM + DAB Radio Car Aerial Antenna Mast from an auction website. £29.99 including delivery.

I attach a photo with it fitted. It is not quite as good as the mag mount as that was in the centre of the roof but 100% better than the original quarter light antenna.

I don't notice it now.

Thanks.
