POP3 checker wosit...

Featured Replies

I'm trying to find a small application that can be scheduled to run on a Windows XP machine to log into a POP3 email account and automatically delete any email there that has an attachment.

It's an enquiry email address box for work, and so far this month there's been three sales leads in the inbox to around 1,200 spam/virus emails with attachments. So easy enough rule to clear it out, just need an app!

Oh, just thought, the XP machine does have Outlook Express, I don't use this but just thought, perhaps it would allow rules to be set up for this?

Anyway, ta for any info.

Hi

Mailwasher comes recommended, here:

http://www.mailwasher.net/

It's free for home use and there's a pro version also. It holds emails in limbo and allows those through only according to what you specifiy (you can bounce the others).

I've downloaded it (with no problems) but don't use it as I don't suffer spam emails really...

I don't know if it fits the bill, but you could have a look at it. Perhaps others might have more knowledge, or different programs...

Best

Try "mail rules" in outlook express. I am sure you can set it to automatically delete all emails with attachments.
