This is a bit of a long shot but I thought I would ask anyway. Does anyone know if the Fabia MK1 VRS engine under tray will fit a petrol 1.6 Octavia MK1? I've seen one for sale on Ebay.

For a start the one for the diesel vrs goes back much further as it's for a diesel not petrol. Not a problem in itself as it's fixed to the side pieces. However, as said above I seriously doubt it because surely the Fabia is narrower wheel to wheel, which would bring side sections closer together. And as for fixing points being in the same place...

From what I've seen of my Ibiza one, don't think so. Leon yes, golf 4 yes, bora probably, Toledo probably...

There is usually loads on ebay for octy/golf/leon. Watch out for some copy ones as the plastic is very stiff and kind of brittle.
