Kessy problem

Featured Replies

I'm new on this forum so hello everyone !

I'm a recent owner of an Octavia III Estate 4x4 1.8 TSI (Swiss).

I'm facing a problem with one of my two Kessy key. On the faulty unit, the Kessy function works well (I can unlock by touching the handle, start the engine,....), but all the buttons on the key don't work even if the red led is working.

Any idea ?

Thanks for your help and sorry for my bad English ;-)

I would say there is a fault in your key.

If Kessy is working (pull to open & touch to lock) then the key is matched to the car correctly & the buttons should also do the same.

As you recently bought the car, you should be able to ask the dealer to change it for a new one.

As said, take it back to dealer to rectify.

As them to resync from scratch the iffy key, if it doesn't work still then it is likely to be the actual physical button, and insist on change under warranty.

Thanks for your answers.

I forgot to tell that it's a pre-owned car from 2013, no more under warranty :-/

I was wondering if there is any manipulation to resync the faulty key. Otherwise I'll go check at my nearest Skoda dealer.

Surely the the seller is responsible unless you were told at point of sale
