You'll find the due time gets less and less. Did you turn off all power saving features on the laptop as this can have an affect on its performance?

yes power settings is left as 'alyays on', never turn of harddrives. Not noticed any performance issues even with the cpu running at 99% most of the time....

might have to stick it on every pc in the company! doubt i'd get away with that though...

That's just my machines sending in results - don't think it means I processed them in 24 hours? I do have a folding farm of 5 boxes though (4 of them P4s ) but something must be up as my 24 hr average is usually around 600 points....

been looking at the wrong log file as I originally installed the gui version, then installed the service version in C:\folding

what does the due date mean? the date it will finish?

got loads of errors in the FAHlog.txt

Yep due date is when it predicts it will complete, although I think it's only based on the last hour's performance so you can find it varies quite a bit and is not generally very accurate....

Could just be the internet connection had dropped. I've never had a problem with sending work packets but my broadband appears to be fairly reliable.

just been into the console and tried sending the data manually but that also fails, could it be that the proxy at work is blocking sending it? how does it send, via FTP? or HTTP? all the proxy settings are correct as its getting work data...

Do you have a personal software firewall? Might need configuring to all it to send/receive?

Not sure if that "unknown packet from server" is a clue.
