Lowering help

Featured Replies

Was gonna put my lowering springs on my car weekend but can't find the post about headlight adjusters on wishbones, there was a post saying how adjust them once car lowered, think u had to bend the bracket anyone no buy how much Thanxs ian

You should be able to adjust the height of the headlights via the adjusters on the headlight housing. You may need to get an MOT station to adjust them to the correct height.

Never had to bend any brackets when got ours lowered.

The only way you'd have to bend anything would be if the adjusters are mechanical automatic self-levelling units; the electronic ones used with plasma discharge lights respond to changes in vehicle attitude from design at kerb weight, so if you don't change the rake of the car the base adjustment remains the same, and if you do change rake you should reset the base aim rather than bend the brackets.

You talking about the xenon auto levelling stuff I assume. Sadly I don't know the answer but would be keen to hear from anyone that has. I think the Australian guy with the yellow FL vrs has had his changed but I believ it was done at a main dealer.

Unless it's super low, it probably needs the xenon basic settings doing and the headlight aim adjusting as part of that process.

If you get errors about sensors being out of range, then you'll need to bend/adjust the sensor arms to bring the readings back in range.
