Engine Management Upgrade Chip

Featured Replies

Hi

Posted here last night about the vRS I'm picking up Friday. The seller told me is was up to 225bhp. I presumed it was a remap - got him to the contact Skoda dealership who did the work - turns out it is a Skoda aftermarket engine management upgrade chip and that it does take the motor up to 225bhp :) .

Christ - I thought he was exaggerating a bit about the 225 as most people on here seem to get about 215 with their remaps.

Does this seem right to you guys - and are there any known probs with a Skoda chip? If they are this good why do most here seem to go for remaps - cheaper?

Thanks

Sean

Trust me. It's not a 'Skoda chip'.

It will be an aftermarket product just like everyone else on here is talking about but at the time was sanctioned by the original dealer.

But definately not sanctioned by Skoda.

could be revo i have heard some dealers use them.
