Door sill protectors

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Does anyone know the code for the black plastic door sill protectors? I have a 2016 model. Are the pre facelift version the same or different?

Many thanks.

Many thanks, can't seem to find the boot lip protector, the one that goes on the outside on top of rear bumper, any idea of a link to this for 2016 model?

Thanks.

Get the boot lip/bumper protector from Reaguards; it is better than the Skoda one, and cheaper.

Several people have fitted them and have given excellent reports.

+1, got a rear bumper protector for the new Yeti a couple of weeks ago. Looks very nice and does wrap around the bumper so that the edge is protected.

But the skoda one looks nicer, matches the lower boot lip and the front lower valance, and actually is still very effective at doing the job.

Looks like this:

The RGM ones look a bit "industrial" for my liking and very clearly "aftermarket".

This is the one I got which matches the bumper material very well.

Very pretty but doesn't protect the edge of the bumper, and therefore to me very much "bling over substance".

Perhaps it depends what you are dragging in and out of the boot.

I got the OEM black door sills and the OEM silver bumper protector as I felt they suited the specific car better. All from Superskoda. I didn't want the car looking industrial and don't drag anything in or out.

Could you come and have a talk to my wife please!!

She seems to think the only way to get plant pots or sewing machines out of the boot is to drag them over the bumper top!!

Is there any forum discount for superskoda or any discount codes? A bit cheeky but thought I'd ask :)

I would have got one of those but they don't do it in black which suits some colour schemes better.

So I went for the clear film type.

See my post #8 this does wrap over the edge and is in black the same as the other Yeti black bumper trims.

My bumper protector wraps over the edge too, blagged it and door sill protectors when ordering the car

I got some door trims for mine (16 plate) in back and silver about £60 plus delivery via the arrangement on this site - I have used this a few times for parts and usually pretty good with getting the parts and getting them to you.  Basically the same price as my local dealer but without the issue of going all the way over there

They look really smart and will protect.  If you want a pic let me know

As well as the sill protectors there is a separate part number for some templates for fitting them. I didn't bother and fitted them by eye.

The OEM black plastic ones I got from SS in the pics above were 25 euros for the set. The wrapping had a diagram but they're shaped anyway. I put them on "dry" and marked the sills start/end points with tape and basically put them on by eye.

Same with the bumper trim. I'd also put one on our previous car 5 years ago using just the peel-off tape and 5 yrs on it was still firm.

I believe dealers also use (or are supposed to) some sort of no nails stuff too.

I have a set of the sill protectors that I bought for my Black Edition and never got round to fitting.

I now have an L&K which has them as standard.

They are free to anyone able to collect from M46 post code area.
