greenline 2 battery warning light on

Featured Replies

battery indicator light on in the dash  it says stopstart fault  but the stopstart has never worked

now loss of all features powersteering. heater   could not go any futher

Stop/Start won't work if the battery is not up to the job (also not that Stop/Start cars need a specific battery - not the standard one).

You said the battery light is on - that can mean the battery or the alternator that charges the battery is a problem. the battery should be your first check.

Just a guess as I'm fairly new to the Superb - but if the power steering etc is out, could your accessories belt have gone...?

You also said "...could not go any further".?  If you mean the car cant be driven - definitely don't try to drive it until it has been checked out.

The power steering is electric!

The stop/start never working was the car's first attempt at telling you something was wrong. When issues are ignored more issues tend to appear.

Sounds like the battery is on it's way out but assuming the engine still starts it could well be more complicated.

Whoops. Sneaky buggers! They never told me.  :notme:

Probably battery, seems a bit young though
