When I bought my Pre-FL vRS it had HID dipped beam already installed.

 

Is there an easy way to identify what the colour temperature of the HID is ?

You could measure the colour of the light with some very expensive equipment.

 

It's probably easier to simply take the bulb out. It's probably printed on the base of the bulb.

I'll give that a try so I can see if I can match the sidelight bulbs to the colour of the HID

The only way to get the side lights close is to get LED's. tbh there is no point checking the colour temp to try and match it as you have the choise of led (which will be around 5k) or halogen which will be lower (even if they are coated in blue to make then "white")
