Octavia 2011 14 tsi coolant leak, need advice!

Featured Replies

Hi,

A few days ago I have had a coolant leak as I had warning light lit up. So I just added some coolant, but day later same warning light again. So I have visually inspected car and found  some leak areas. See pictures attached. How do I fix that? what parts do I need to fix that. Any help highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

ok ok, while everybody is thinking

I did some research and find out that might I need to replace gasket between turbocharger and the coolant hoses. The question know is what gasket is that? where do I find to buy it? :nerd:  as there is 4 hoses connected to it  :notme:

If you're 100% sure of location and what part, is leaking, go into a skoda dealer or TPS (if the branch sells to public) with your smart phone and photo's and they will look up an exploded view of the parts and what is available separately, or as a group. You could try explaining on the phone but it would rely on good descriptions and each party understanding the other, to get the right part.

Someone on here may have an exploded view from etka or similar.

Pleasure. Thank you for your sarcasm.

Did not want to put it that way, but why don't we all just go to the car dealers or garages instead of posting here :dull:

What all this forums is about?

confused confused  :x

You're going to manufacture your own turbo coolant line seals or gasket? Sure, these forums edit: (are)  all about fixing it yourself, I was pointing you in the direction of where you can get your parts from..Could also be a crack in the lines themselves. I'm confused too, I'll leave you to it.

So, digging more into this we have the o-ring part number WHT003366 if anyone would need that and the cost for single peace on the day is £5.99 from the dealer shop.

have a Good day!

Hi Can anyone tell me what the pipe above the coolant pipes is for? Wondered if I should replace the o ring on that too, anyone know the product code for it?

Thanks

Was this a simple fix to replace O ring here anyone? Got the same issue on my car and it’s stressing me out 😞 Thank you

Hi the part number for the two coolant o rings is WHT003366. You'll need to purchase two. You can get them from dealers (VW, SEAT, SKODA, AUDI). They'll vary in price dependant on the dealer, for example Audi is closest to me and wanted around £10 for ONE!

it's a pretty easy fix. Here's two guides:

The second one you'll need to translate from Russian, and I don't think you need to take the engine cover off.
