Detachable Towing bar

Featured Replies

Hello all,

my 2nd hand 2011 Superb 4x4 was fitted with the factory detachable towing bar.

The first owner mentioned that he had backed into a pole at one point and needed to have the rear plastic bit replaced.

Imagine my surprise when I went to the trailer rental place this past weekend only to find there was no hole in the plastic bumper cover to slide in my receiver hitch!

I have never actually seen the hole on the supurb, but I assume that there is a cutout which can be snapped into and out of place should one need to tow something.

Would it be possible to do you think to cut out a square and just get that insert piece, or is replacing the entire skin in order?

Does anyone happen to have a photo of that area with the optional detachable tow bar out? I was not able to locate one on google so far.
