1st post here and hopefully in the right section. Apologies if not

So I was looking at buying a Fabia 1.9 Tdi pd (not Vrs) because of the cheap insurance, mpg etc

I put my details into gocompare for an insurance quote and was happy with the result.

Just out of interest I did another quote for a Vrs and it actually came out £7 cheaper!

This doesn't seem right to me?

What can anyone here tell you ? Click through the insurance and speak to them and check, and just read the details.

If its good, go for it !

 

Thats the whole purpose of those sites, to get you better deals ( mind you they act as middle men too hence probably push prices overall up very very slightly ) but as the alternative involves ringing around all the companies of course they are very popular.....

 

I would be interested, incidentally, to try checking quotes first at various sites BEFORE comparison sites one day....

Was the other one you put in newer/older

When I was looking at insurance for my brother if we bought him a fiat panda after a 57 plate it would of been 1200

Anything before that jumped up to 3000+

Both of the quotes are from the same company....esure
