Reverse light

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me the colour of the wire for the reverse light at the fuse box end of a 2011 skoda octavia vrs. please,

The reverse light won't have it's own fuse, it'll share one with a number of other consumers.

What exactly is the problem you're trying to solve?

I need to run a feed from my pioneer app radio 4 from the headunits wire to the reversing light. Just trying to avoid running cables from front to back reversing light,

You could take a feed from the BCM as that powers the reverse lights. It's unlikely to be a clean signal as it has bulb monitoring etc.

Otherwise you might be able to takea feed from the reverse switch, at a guess that might also go to the BCM.

If nobody answers first I'll check the wiring diagram later.

That would be a great help ,

The cables are already there ;)

The left reverse light is connected to T52aa/28, possibly in black wire with a blue stripe.

The right reverse light is connected to T52ac/28, possibly in black wire with a yellow stripe.

The reverse light switch is connected to T52aa/16 on a manual car, possibly in blue wire with a black stripe. Looks like it should be pulled high when reverse is selected.

On a DSG car, I think it's the mechatronics unit that reports if the car is in reverse or not as I can't see an obvious switch.

The connections are all made to the BCM which is just above the pedals in the drivers footwell. T52aa is the black connector, T52ac is the brown/gold connector, the other number is the pin number which will be written on the connector.
