Had good long chat with local mechanic. He's experienced with modified cars & happy to use whatever oil & plugs etc I want. Easy decision !

5w 40 in the car as of yesterday.

It only used about 1.25 ltr of 5w30 in last 10,000 miles, but I'll report back any change over the next few months.

Your car is not much of an oil user anyway, likely since the remaps, but it was early on in its life.

Has all been good with the spark plugs you fitted and what did you go with in the end?

Last plugs from 10K miles ago where a NIGHTMARE to get out. He was using over 100nm to remove & warned 2 might snap. Newly fitted are NGK Iridium.

I had Denso fitted when I first got the car, and now I have NGK in.

Seems to drive smoother with the NGK, but I'm not sure about the reliability of the,, so I'm off for some different Denso this next time.

Might even get it mapped when the new intercooler is on....!
