Skoda fabia vrs mk1 no power no fault codes

Featured Replies

car feels very sluggish and bad mpg half the power than normal car has no fault codes. Car has been remapped by previous owner don't no wat to but I'm guessing 180 bhp and has deffo lost its punch from wat I'm use to. Kkk turbo ????Itself at the start of year swapped it for gt1749va of golf pd130 after that its been running great until last week half the power and steering shaking under acceleration. Help anyone!

Do you have black smoke under acceleration?

Sometimes not all the time

Well, I'm not sure (because it should be smoking consistently if I'm right) but start by checking for boost leaks.

And notice earlier in the car if i rev the car at a stand stil its very unresponsive but if I push the clutch pedal down and rev it it's more responsive that suggest anything ?

Any untoward noises? (Apart from the whining driver!! :D )

Ideally you need to know if it's making any boost, can you hear the turbo working?

Is the air filter ok?worth taking the top off the airbox and checking there is no restrictions/filter has not collapsed etc blocking the inlet.

A video will help diagnosis no end :)

Yea turbo is working and has been whistling abit louder too

Don't think video is working but when car is revd hard when the revs come down noise coming from airbox area like sucking purring sound ????

Sounds like your VNT is stuck open and not spinning the turbo up correctly. Check for boost leaks in the first instance. What you using to scan for errors?
