Stevos Fabia VRS Mk2

Featured Replies

I've been on here for a while and I thought it was about time I started a thread for my car!

I have had Skoda for years but the past 8-10 I've defected to Fords etc (don't judge me!!) and I thought it was high time I got back in a Winged Arrow!

I was actively looking for a new car but I wanted an automatic due to my illness ( Chronic Kidney Disease) and I'm in dialysis and really need the comfort nowadays.

After coming from a Mk6 Fiesta ST that was pretty much a. Track day car that I used on the road, I knew it was time to start looking.

I knew about the TSI issues before I looked so had it in the back of my mind when looking.

My Fabia was on eBay in Huddersfield and was a tad cheaper than most at that spec age etc so I started asking the questions as to why

Ok so it's a Car D. But....it's repaired to a high standard and I'll be keeping it for ages so no really bother to me and to save a grand or so then why not.

The first thing that I did was sort little hints out like getting bungs and clips and caps sorted that it was missing, and a good going over.

Seems that the oil issue isn't a problem with this one which is a bonus. Done around 4-5 k so far with no real oil use.

"Touches Wood!"

Since I've had it, I've had new genuine shockers all round as a couple were a bit lazy and a set of H&R Springs. (Highly recommend for folks running standard stuff. Nice ride and smoother now.)

Also had a set of tyres all round, and decided on the Uniroyal Rainsport 3's as I used a set on the ST and highly rated them.

I've fitted a few LED replacement bulbs and Chrome Indicator bulbs too just for aesthetics.

As of today it finally has my private plate on off the ST so that made me a happy bunny today and I can get the Fiesta up for sale seem as I have a wedding to pay for next year!

Future plans?

312mm Brakes up front, H&R RARB, VWR Air Filter element, Amundsen Head Unit ..that's about it for now.

I'm a tad dubious about doing too much to the engine for now with it been a relatively good one.

We shall see!!

More stuff to follow as I do it folks.
