Hello All

Can anyone confirm if a power steering pump from a 1.4 tdi will fit a 1.9 tdi. I own both cars, both 04 plate but the 1.9 tdi one has packed up.

Are all PAS pumps cross compatible in the skoda Fabias as there is one from a petrol fabia in my local scrap yard?

I doubt it, but all you can check would be the part numbers. Someone more knowledgeable than me will be along soon to help.

I don't think engine type affects what is fitted. I think (from what I've read on here) newer versions tend to be backwards compatible, but not the other way round; so as long as what you get is no older than the original, it should be compatible. I think there's a production date on the pump label as well as the VAG part number.
