VRS TDI 4X4 Tuning Options

Featured Replies

Hi. Sorry if this has already been asked. Has anyone tuned the new VRS TDI 4X4 and if so, who have you used, how much and with what power gains? I have a 65 plate estate that I want to 'tweak' safely.

DTUK - CRD3 plug and play tuning box. Got one on mine and it really is excellent.

Your car is still under warranty, so you'll be risking it getting a remap.

If it's definitely a remap you want though, then can't recommend Shark enough as a company.

I have read that most remaps are not picked up during a dealer service. I won't use my dealer to service as I use a VW specialist in Wath-Upon-Dearne who are brilliant. If I get an ECU related issue under warranty then that may be different. Has anyone had remap issues with dealers?

Not true now I'm afraid - as soon as any diagnostic equipment is plugged into the car, it will flag what's called "TD1", which will instantly show the parameters of the ECU have been altered.

Remaps were always detectable, but now it's instantly obvious on VAG cars.
