Superb Estate - 2.0 TSI DSG

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Looking at 2 estates -

Octavia VRS 2.0 TSI & Superb Sportline Estate 2.0TSI. My heart was set on purchasing the octavia until i saw the Sportline and it looks awesome!!!

Obviously the Superb is a larger car but do you really notice the extra size and weight when it comes to handling and performance.

The car will be driven by my wife 90% of the time but mine to use in a bit more anger early mornings when i drive to work (mix of twisty roads and fast b-roads).

I like both but dont want a car that feels like a boat !!!

The superb is a boat.

Superb isn't bad on the twisties but it does take some getting used to.... I gave mine some proper hammer yesterday and really enjoyed it.... It can be driven quickly and safely.... It's no VRS though in the handling stakes....

I've said this before..... VRS .... Tie Fighter.... Superb.... Imperial Star Destroyer...

Would I swap... No.

Yes, it's very big. - but very lovely !!

Hi,

I have a Superb Sportline & find it handles fine due to the sport suspension & lower by 15mm. I have had 2 mk2 FL Octy VRS' & the Sportline is similar in handling. I test drove a MK3 VRS & thought the Sportline was better value IMHO. Hope my point of view is of help.

Find a dealer that has the Sportline demonstrator in and give it a go. There are some at dealers now. If it handles well enough (over the standard superb) I'd go for it. It's an amazing car and will be a little more exclusive than the Octy Vrs. Just my two pennies worth.

I've driven both the Mk3 Octavia vRS estate and Mk3 Superb estate many times. The Superb feels like a much bigger car in every way.

If I had the choice between the two you're looking at, I'd take the Superb in a heartbeat.
