Best tyres for softer ride.

Featured Replies

Finding poor roads very uncomfortable at present-anybody found an improvement with any makes?

What tyres do you have at the moment and have you always been disappointed with the ride quality?

I have the Monte Carlo on the lowered suspension (but no idea whether the spring rates were changed) and find it very softly sprung, even on the worst that Lincolnshire B roads can throw at me. What tyre pressures are you running?

I would suggest looking at the suspension, most greentech models of the citigo have been installed (from factory) with a more lowered suspension.

Our ASG is with the more comfy setup as the engine isn't greentech. It was an option to install the lowered suspension but we are pleased we didnt.

Instead we went for the Alloy wheel upgrade from 14" to 15", we have never had any issues with ride comfort.

In the winter we swap to 14" winter wheel and tyre setup and again no isues

ive noticed this with hire cars, had a citigo se (not lowered) and this was far more "comfortable" that my greentec elegance....although my citigo drove better :)

depends what your after and where you drive, my day to day drive is city roads.....with 1-2 time a week trips out on dual carridgeways and back roads. and i find it ok.

I've noticed that the Elegance Greentech we had on 14" wheels was a little harder than my lads MC on 15". Never really thought about it but expected it might have been the other way round.

Our brand new SEL Greentech has 15" wheels and has a noticeably better ride than the Elegance. Don't know if anything else has changed.
