Wheel alignment well sorted

Featured Replies

So when I brought the VRS it was pulling to the left on Conti sport 2 which I think are terrible anyway. So asked the dealer to sort it before I took it off the forecourt. Obviously they said they had but it still pulled. So did some more research on here and noticed it appears to be a bit of an issue. Not wanting to be without the car for weeks while the dealer couldn't find anything wrong I took it. Noticed the 2 front tyres were worn differently. Seemed like one newer than other. Swapped them and it helped but didn't bother with alignment until I had put the H&R springs on. Had it done on a hunter today. Kwik fit of all places but the guys there know cars and set some track stuff up for their mates. Had been before with my Octavia for a full set up and the nailed and again today with the fabia... these are the results. No more pulling and it feels like a new car post-129270-0-14110100-1476298033_thumb.jpg

So... you're saying H+R springs helped with a wheel alignment?

If so I'd be willing to do that, the 'pull-to-the-left' issue does bother me a bit.

Well I'd not had a proper hunter done before the spring change but the garage I brought it from had done one pre delivery and it still pulled. Changed the springs and it was still pulling but not as bad then had the hunter done and is straight as a dye and handles lovely. Quite impressed that is has 1 degree of neg camber on the front too

Just do the springs anyway they are a really. I've simple mod and it rides and handles and sits much better

I had the issue when I purchased my car had it set up a two different place's via the Hunter, the pull to the left was there

I replaced the directional tyres for asymmetric tyres IE Uniroyal 3's the problem was sorted :notme:

Yea I'm gonna get the winter over and done with then get rid of the conti 2 and get something like the rain sport 3 or Goodyears. Never known why the contis get such good reviews because every set I've had have been noisy and crap when it's mildly moist. But to be fair it does travel perfectly straight now but it seems to be affected more than any car I've had by slight differences in road surface. The only vehicle I had that did that was a vx220 with really aggressive geo.

looking at the front camber on the fab I'm not surprised it is affected by surface and tyres. 1 degree neg camber is quite a bit for a standard car
