Replacing broken air vents in the interior.. Help

Featured Replies

I've got an 2003 RS.. Thought I should point that out in case the mounting differs .. Anyway.

The flaps over the vent who control the up/down angle on the air is broken on all of them .. I've no idea how, but the wheel cannot control them those flaps anymore so i have to manually set each individual one of them which is a pain.

So, was curious to se if someone knew of a good way of getting the vents out without removing the entire dash? Pictures, videos.. Great explanations even all very welcome, thank you!

I've literally just done the same this evening.

One of my slats was disconnected on my centre vent.

Theyre just clipped in, so with the use of a small screwdriver to prise and some pulling gently they pop off.

I removed the hazard light switch first though and use my fingers to pull from the hole - being careful obviously.

Does anyone know the part numbers of the furthest side air vent's, left and right?
