Will an aftermarket remote central locking bypass the immobilizer ?

My Octy doesn't come with a remote but after locking the car, the red led light at the driver's side would blink (immobilizer light ?)

Will remote commander meant for VW(Jetta/golf) works on our Octy ? Saw some available on e-bay, but what else needed to be added if we get hold of the remote handset ?

On my Fabia (which has remote central locking) the red LED means the car can't be unlocked from the inside. If the car is locked but the LED isn't flashing it is possible to open the doors from inside. To select the second of these options you press the lock button on the remote key twice. As far as I know it's nothing to do with the immobiliser.

they were no infos since it s a generic remote for all type of vechicles... i just need to plug the receiver into the CL unit... but where the hek is that unit located ?
