Headliner removal / DAB aerial fitting

Featured Replies

Hopefully with the aid of some lovely folks here on Briskoda I will be fitting my DAB aerial in the next few weeks.

This will involve removing both the aerial and the base station; i believe this is what gives the DAB capabilities. Cables will also need to be run.

I'm assuming that for this to happen the head liner will need removing, anybody know how you do this or had any experience in doing this sort of thing?

When the Blaupunkt combo DAB aerial was fitted to mine, the headlining was freed as far forward as the B pillar to allow it to drop far enough to get the spanners in for the base nut. New cables were used throughout, and my aerial amplifier is fed from the electric aerial feed from the head unit.

As the tuners are underneath the passenger seat in my install, the cables run down the C pillar, over the wheelarch and along the inside sill trim.
